The Division of Infrastructure Services and Technical Support seeks an individual who can proactively manage work assignments and has excellent project management skills to manage current databases, monitor performance, and resolve database related issues to ensure data integrity.
Responsibilities would include:
Manage databases and servers, including upgrades, back-ups, and systems analysis to ensure data security and integrity. Provide guidance and reports as requested.
Perform data analysis.
Design, implement, and maintain database security roles.
Prepare and maintain database and server documentation.
Assist in the development and implementation of conversion strategies and programs to convert existing databases to the new core business system.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
3-5 years of SQL administration in version 2008 through current.
Required technical experience/knowledge:
Using relational databases in SQL environment, replication, clustering, data migration and integration, SSIS, OLAP cube programming, and documenting and designing capabilities.
Preferred technical experience/knowledge:
MS Reporting Services, MySQL and/or P/SQL, CMS (NetForum), SharePoint.
Must be able to translate business needs into technical requirements, work effectively with diverse groups and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Some weekend work required.
