Supports the efforts of United Way of Lake County’s Success By 6 program. Responsible for coordinating the Early Learning Clubs, Three Year-old Outreach Activities, Kindergarten Countdown Camps, Early Learning Trails, Distribution of Calendars and Workbooks and other high impact initiatives and projects. Provides outreach to the Latino community and childcare providers. Works to increase the number and quality of early learning opportunities in key communities. Develops relationships and reports on the impact of collaborative impact projects as directed.
• Bachelor’s degree in social service, education, public administration or related field or a combination of an Associates degree and significant related experience. • Experience in social services, community development or early education. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish required • Demonstrated computer experience with knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SPSS. • Well organized, with ability to project plan, monitor and evaluate functions and activities. • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. • Flexibility and ability to work with all manner of personalities/individuals/groups. • Knowledge of Lake County non-profit agencies/organizations and community needs/issues strongly preferred.
