Horsemanship Instructors are responsible for teaching English and Western riding lessons and for monitoring and reporting student progress. The Instructors teach assigned students mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. Under supervision of the Program Coordinator, Instructors work independently with the assistance of volunteers. Instructors help maintain a clean and safe environment for the students, horses and farm animals.
Must have a high school diploma/GED and at least 1-2 years of experience, prefer 2-5 years. Candidate should be a problem solver, team member, and have sound judgment. Must have Clear State Police History and a valid Illinois Driver’s License. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to lift 100lbs, and be able to work with arms over shoulders, do climbing, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling, carrying, and walking. Sitting or prolonged standing required.
