Neumann Family Services is a large non for profit agency located on the north side of Chicago providing day and residential services to adults with developmental disabilities and mental illness.

GENERAL FUNCTIONS: The Director of DD Residential Services is responsible for creating an atmosphere that provides for continuity of quality care and quality of life for all clients in the Program. This is accomplished by providing clear direction and expectations to all employees about the philosophy of the organization and of the area in which they work. In addition, provide leadership, development and coordination of DD Residential Services in the community. Regular Monday through Friday business/program hours with scheduling flexibility (including weekends and evenings) to work variable hours, as needed to effectively carry out duties and responsibilities. On-call duties required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The Director of DD Residential Services is directly responsible for the operations and administration of all community residences and their staff. The position reports to the VP of Programs and Services. Must have a BA degree in Human Services field, MA preferred. Must have at least 5 years of related experience and at least 2 years of supervisory experience. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have the ability to provide leadership and work cooperatively with program staff and management. Must be proficient in Microsoft office and have excellent knowledge of all State rules and regulations. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have approval through agency’s insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles. Must have own vehicle and willingness to use as necessary. Must pass Test of Adult Basic Education, Criminal Background Check and Nurse Aide Registry.
