Works with Executive Director and the Board of Directors to plan and execute resource development strategies and monitor progress. Generate fundraising income through campaigns and special events, targeting foundations, corporations, civic groups and individual donors within the community. Provide writing support for the foundation. Work with Executive Director and communications program manager on all communication aspects of the foundation to include media relations and marketing/PR.
Contribute to the formulation of overall development and marketing/communication goals and strategies and oversee the implementation of all activities relating to fundraising, special events and marketing of the Massage Therapy Foundation.
Will oversee the work of the Communications Program Manager.
Resource Development and Management:
Contribute to attaining financial support and meeting annual financial fundraising goals.
Contribute to the planning and implementation of the strategic plan regarding activities relating to donor solicitations and other foundation fundraising and marketing.
Evaluate giving trends of individual donors and determine those with potential for upgrading participation.
Manage and coordinate the recognition of contributions. Manage record keeping for special event donors, assuring effective administrative and operational support functions are in place.
Control fund raising expenses within budget.
Support a productive working environment, providing staff support to Executive Director on fundraising and marketing issues.
Works with the Executive Director and board to develop a public relations and marketing plan.
Oversees the design and implements production of all major publications.
Oversees the management of all social media outlets.
Implements communication strategies to promote the Massage Therapy Foundation’s mission.

·Bachelor’s Degree required.
·At least 5 years’ experience in development and/or communications.
·Demonstrated experience in managing people and budgets.
·Experience in appropriate and effective communication with diverse populations.
·Proven ability to multi-task and successfully meet deadlines.
·Experience with developing and maintaining productive working relationships with board members, donors, and the community.
