Basic Function: The Director / VP of Business Development & Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for: 1) conducting thorough market, legislative, regulatory and community capacity research for innovative product and service design and delivery strategies that align with our organizational mission and capacity; 2) conducting detailed feasibility analyses of meaningful market opportunities; and 3) developing and assisting in the implementation of approved plans for execution of innovative projects and other strategies.
This work will be highly varied and complex and requires a high degree of discretion, ingenuity, confidentiality and entrepreneurial thinking.
Lead research and development of innovative or pilot programs, services, products, and ventures as directed by CEO.
Develop and implement our framework for opportunity exploration, partnering with executive team members and external stakeholders.
Provide strategic and tactical support to the CEO to coordinate and help drive the development of strategic plans.
Research, analyze and document relevant market assessment, industry standards, and input from internal and external sources.
Work with internal and external resources to develop financial models, feasibility analysis, and other key critical targets.
Manage multiple, sometimes disparate, innovation and strategic projects.
Take an active role in building innovation culture and mindset.
Be the key content expert for innovation projects.
Socialize understanding of new initiatives and strategies among the executive team members and other key stakeholders.
Actively participate in the 3 Year Strategic Plan development and annual corporate objective development by providing analysis and research findings. Lead SWOT analysis as needed.
Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants; monitor and evaluate performance.
Provide clear and regular status reports to executive team.
Actively participate in industry trade associations as appropriate for strategic and innovation projects currently in process.
Develop positive and energetic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Promote and ensure adherence to our stated vision, mission, and values for all initiatives and strategies.
Represent us in a manner that promotes a positive image in the community; serve on internal and external committees and other leadership forums.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to perform complex analyses.
At least five years’ experience in product development, strategic planning, or healthcare innovation.
At least two years’ experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives and business plans based on rigorous analysis.
Strong presentation and communication skills with ability to interact with executives, regulators, and entrepreneurs.
Expert use of Microsoft Office Suite of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.
High level verbal and written presentation skills.
Strong understanding of the healthcare regulatory and market landscape preferred.
