The Division of Quality seeks a customer service focused individual to provide project management support for the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Portfolio Sponsorship Program focused on life-long learning and continuous quality improvement (QI), as well as, provide QI consultation to internal and external stakeholders and groups.
Some tasks include:
Coordinating internal and external reporting and communication procedures for all MOC Portfolio activities.
Coordinating project attestations and diplomat reporting to the American Board of Pediatrics.
Assisting with the coordination of MOC Annual Report and all other documents related to maintaining accreditation.
Designing, planning, and implementing education and training opportunities for members and AAP staff on the Portfolio Sponsorship Program.
Coordinating various educational programs and learning opportunities on an annual basis for the AAP’s National Conference and Exhibition.
Coordinating the production and dissemination of quality related content through AAP communication channels. Develop and manage other pieces of quality content when necessary.
Updating the presence of educational information on various program and council Web sites, SharePoint, and AAP.ORG Web pages.
Bachelors’ degree in public health, health education or related discipline required, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
2 years’ experience in project coordination/management related to health care, quality, or research activities required, including program development, implementation, and evaluation.
Knowledge of QI methodology and implementation and experience working with accreditation and certification boards preferred.
Must be detail and task oriented, highly efficient, creative, and flexible and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and autonomously.
Must be able to interact and work effectively with all levels of staff and volunteers.
Strong project management and fiscal management skills essential.
Proficiency with MS Office required; experience with Web maintenance software (i.e., SharePoint) preferred.
Some travel and weekend work required.
