Helping Hand Center (HHC) is a nonprofit social service agency dedicated to providing quality programs and services to people of all ages with mild to severe disabilities. Founded in 1955 by a group of parents, HHC promotes self-sufficiency, self-reliance and independence for their clients. Their mission is to assist persons with disabilities to achieve their highest level of independence through quality programs and services. HHC offers a myriad of services for children, teens and adults.

The Executive Director is responsible for:
The overall day-to-day management of HHC.
He/She is charged with the execution of the strategic plan to carrying out the mission, vision, values, objectives and policies as established by the elected Board of Directors; ensure the continued success of the 62-year old organization.
HHC has an integrated Living Arrangements. The School for Children with Autism is considered a model best practice.
Facilities are in good condition; a solid base of local community support exists and there is a cohesive atmosphere. Builds, maintains and broadens the network of contacts among partners and potential partners in industry, association, institutes, foundation, government agencies, etc.
Establish the necessary criteria, review, evaluate and correct, if necessary, the performance of the total organization and its major functional activities
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (Master’s degree is preferred)
5+ years of organizational management experience, preferably in a non-profit based operation
Proven experience and track record of substantial fundraising activities including annual giving, capital campaigns, and special events
