Provision of therapeutic services to identified clients in the Youth and Family Therapeutic Services department as well as supervision of other therapists in the department as assigned. These services will often entail trauma informed and strengths based individual, family, couples or group counseling services but also involve stabilization and consultation services with family members and collaterals. May also be assigned to provide Head Start Mental Health Consultation and Academic Counseling at private schools through Title One. The Supervising Therapist will help with case assignment, complete supervision notes, provide clinical direction and supervision on cases, help administer the Head Start Mental Health Consultation and the Title One Academic Counseling program and serve as a backup to the Department Director.
Preferred Requirements: Masters Level in Social Work or Counseling field or PhD. Five years of therapeutic services to children and families including clinical supervision.
Minimum Requirements: Master Level in Social Work or related field. Three years of therapeutic services to children and families including clinical supervision.
Other Requirements: LCSW or LCPC in good standing. Driver’s license and reliable transportation. Agency specified automobile insurance. Program specific background check. Some evening and weekend hours are necessary to accommodate the schedule of clients.
