Meet with potential LIHEAP/IHWAP & Fuel Fund clients to complete applications in office and out of office through home visits or outreach post. Review documents to determine if household is eligible for any or all energy services programs. Complete any necessary CEDA forms required for processing LIHEAP, IHWAP and/or Fuel Funds applications. Perform direct entry into required databases, such as the Single Tracking and Reporting System (STARS), LIHEAP.net and Fuel Fund database. Perform program outreach to create awareness of energy services offered. Provide energy counseling as it relates to helping clients understand energy efficiency, energy consumption and energy assistance programs. Report any challenges or concerns directly to LIHEAP Coordinator.
Must have two years of customer service experience. Previous knowledge of energy services programs preferred but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Effective problem solving skills. Ability to work with confidential information. Bilingual a plus, but not required. Must be computer literate with knowledge of MS Office and all general office equipment. Typing 40+ wpm.
Additional Salary Information: Compensation is paid by number of approved applications completed.
