Facilitates high quality age appropriate job readiness training for CHA residents ages 16 -24 who are participating the Summer Youth Employment Program in Region 1.
Ensures youth complete the online financial literacy training.
Chaperones field trips and college tours for SYEP participants.
Provides one on one job counseling/mentoring when requested.
Develops, when necessary, supplemental curriculum that focuses on professionalism, problem solving and critical thinking skills; as well as networking strategies, communication, enthusiasm, long term goal setting and other relevant topics.
Hours: Temporary Position
Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Business Administration or other relevant field. Five years of experience in providing training and working with youth. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with people of different cultural, ethnic and economical background.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree. One year of experience working with youth. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Other Requirements: Must be able to climb stairs and lift up to 35 lbs. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
