The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for the organization of client charts and maintenance of client filing systems at multiple locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Pulls and returns open client charts daily as needed
Assigns purge dates for closed client files
Purges closed client files at appropriate date and maintains log of same
Performs other general office filing as required
Provides back-up reception duties on an as needed basis
Participates in support team meetings as scheduled
Other duties as assigned
Previous experience in an office support function
Friendly phone manner
Ability to handle phone and face-to-face crises
MS Word computer experience
Exceptional organizational skills
Accuracy at tasks
Ability to work as a team member
A flexible and cooperative work style is needed to interact with clinicians, doctors, and other support personnel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma required. Previous experience in an office support function required. Medical office experience preferred.
