Assist the Chief Operating Officer to implement a coordinated Transitional Living Program, in compliance with all contractual, legal, and Guardian Angel Community Services standards.
Assist in developing program policies, procedures, and philosophy, and regularly assess the design and effectiveness of the program, making recommendations for change or future development.
Actively participate in all Performance & Quality Improvement processes including but not limited to the collection, monitoring, and evaluation of data, particularly client outcome measures, client/staff safety, and incident reporting; risk management issues, program operational plan goal progress and staff and client satisfaction, along with recommendations of corrective action to enhance operations.
Adopt agency’s client-centered philosophy of care and best practice expectations by adhering to COA practices and standards.
Provide supervision and training to program staff, interns, and volunteers as required and assigned.
Complete all reporting requirements within due dates.
Assist with grants as assigned.
Provide direct service to clients of Suzy’s Caring Place, as needed.
Assure that program policies and procedures, including legal and contractual operating conditions, are maintained.
Manage program resources in accordance with the budget as approved.
Work collaboratively with law enforcement, other social service agencies, and internal programs, as necessary.
Complete all mandatory agency and job specific training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Attend required staff meetings, agency meetings, and such other meetings as requested by the Chief Operating Officer.
A Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field; experience preferred. Knowledge of practices and standards pertaining to Suzy’s Caring Place. Good verbal and written communications skills. No physical or mental impairments which would prevent, or render impossible, the performance of the duties of this position. Demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of persons served. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials. Ability to work flexible hours.
