Case Management/Social Services, Program Management
Basic Function: Under the direction of the President/CEO, Director or designee, provides coaching, day to day guidance and administrative oversight to a unit of professional direct service workers. May provide direct casework services to a limited number of clients. This is an Exempt position.
Responsible for programmatic coaching and day to day guidance to assigned child welfare workers. Conducts regular conferences with assigned workers to guide and evaluate case management services.
Summarizes case management activities and reports results of assigned department to appropriate staff and administrators
Together with the Director or designee and child welfare workers determine when application and cases should be staffed and/or brought to a consultant
Collaborates with specialists or consultants on casework practices and on specific cases
Conducts orientations and develops programs for assigned child welfare workers and participates in creating training materials
Suggests policies and changes in current program that will increase the effectiveness of the program
May carry limited caseload with the duties involved, the same as those outlined in the child welfare worker's duties
Deliver services with sensitivity to the clients’ cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
Serves as a member of the Foster Care Leadership Team and Foster Care Permanency Committee to carefully plan and make decisions regarding Foster Care programming
Coordinating Intake and Placement of all new foster care clients in conjunction with the foster care supervisor. May assist with facilitating the processing of initial clothing and equipment vouchers, etc.
Tracking all permanency information and progress including pipeline cases, closed cases, trends, etc. This includes completing the monthly permanency report.
Facilitating and/or assisting with the completion of subsidies for adoptions and guardianships. This includes identifying appropriate cases and tracking progress in moving the case to adoption or guardianship.
Assisting with general program development activities which may include research, communicating with collaterals, attending meetings, etc.

Position requires a Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university; access to motor vehicle for utilization in performance of job duties; certification/licensure as per child welfare agency standards and State of Illinois and two years of post graduate experience OR five years of pre-graduate and post- graduate combined experience.
Position requires a valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and clean driver's record
