Cure SMA is seeking a Manager of Corporate Development who will develop and implement a national corporate relations strategy aimed at strengthening corporate engagement and driving increased revenue.
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Manager of Corporate Development will work closely with Cure SMA’s Communication, Events and Family Support departments to identify prospects and determine corporate and sponsor recognition plans.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
Develop strategies for prospecting corporate contacts utilizing Cure SMA’s constituencies including volunteers, event participants, vendors, Board Members, etc.
Serve as relationship manager for a portfolio of corporate sponsors and prospects, identifying and executing the necessary cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities necessary to maintain and grow support from that portfolio.
Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective corporate sponsors, including pharmaceutical companies, through various cultivation calls, letters, meetings, emails, and handwritten notes.
Write and edit proposals, reports, correspondence, event collateral and other documents for internal and external audiences.
Leverage existing relationships, special events, and other systems, such as a database, to develop a donor prospect pipeline.
Develop sponsorship collateral and solicitation timelines for Cure SMA events.
Assist in securing corporate honorees and sponsorships for Cure SMA galas and social events nationwide.
Serve as the lead for Cure SMA’s workplace giving programs, Community Health Charities, and other giving programs. Includes identifying prospects and managing outreach to corporations with workplace giving programs.
Develop and maintain systems and records for all corporate prospects and partners.
Set benchmarks and strategies to meet and exceed national revenue goals
Ability to work and communicate with a wide range of internal and external constituents
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years progressive experience in sponsorship program development with experience cultivating significant gifts and stewarding large partnerships.
Proven experience working with corporate sponsors; including outstanding ability to establish relationships, make asks, and thank appropriately.
Self-starter, motivated individual with the ability to set goals and take action to achieve goals.
Able to prioritize, schedule, and monitor multiple projects.
Able to establish strong collaborative relationships and work with others in a cooperative and effective manner.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Luminate Online with the ability to extract and analyze data, run reports and queries.
The Manager of Corporate Development will maintain accurate records of sponsor and gift information managing all information with the highest professional and ethical standards.
