The teacher is responsible for the very heart of the school. Teacher responsibilities include instructing students, reporting student progress to parents, and enforcing the general rules and regulations of the school. We are seeking teachers to inspire and instruct our students.
Prepares and submits weekly lesson plans
Enables students to achieve their highest potential
Keeps an accurate daily record book of attendance and grades
Works to reach all students via a variety of teaching approaches
Employs effective classroom management techniques for optimum learning environment for all students
Formally evaluates student performance through progress reports and quarter/semester grades
Illinois Professional Educator’s License
Endorsements in middle school content (for 6-8 teachers)
Urban teaching experience

Providence Englewood is a Kindergarten through 8th grade Charter School serving the Englewood community. We are part of the public education system and enrollment is FREE. The primary purpose of Providence Englewood Charter School is to prepare our students for further academic work, and ultimately, for responsible citizenship in the modern world. We constantly strive for academic excellence along with personal and social development.
Our course of study is intended to prepare our students for higher education. We strive for excellence in all aspects of the teaching-learning process. Students, teachers and administrators have high expectations of themselves and of one another. The curriculum is regularly evaluated to ensure that students have the tools they need to succeed in their academic pursuits. Course offerings are designed to support all students with reaching their fullest intellectual potential. Students are encouraged to develop personal study habits and motivation to attain their academic goals.

Since opening Providence Englewood Charter School in 2006, we have set new goals and standards that have continued to increase the academic performance of our students. Our students consistently score higher on state tests than other schools in surrounding communities. More importantly, 100 percent of our school’s graduates have been accepted into Chicago’s premier high schools.
