Hephzibah Children's Association is a social service agency in Oak Park, IL, offering a variety of programs for children and families including; residential group homes, support and intervention services for families, foster care and adoption services, after school and summer day care programs, and Head Start.
We have an opening for a full-time Special Events Manager responsible for:
Staging, managing and executing fundraising and campaign events, and cultivation and stewardship events
Oversight of third-party events
Management of auxiliary boards that support the agency mission
Communicating the mission and needs of the agency to donors, working partners and the public
File maintenance, report preparation, and office organization
Providing administrative support to the Director of Development
Bachelor’s Degree and three years experience in coordinating special events and/or non-profit development fundraising.
Proven ability to create and execute annual plan
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership and organizational skills, ability to work independently
Ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, board members, auxiliaries, community and corporate contacts, and the public.
Proficiency in word processing, database management, Microsoft Office Products including, Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop & InDesign as well as Raiser’s Edge and Luminate.
Available and willing to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
