TPAN is Chicago's premier peer-led agency devoted exclusively to HIV/AIDS related services. TPAN began in 1987 when a small group of HIV-positive people ga...thered together with a desire to share experiences, exchange information, and to provide and accept support from one another. Today, TPAN serves thousands of people each year through our HIV prevention and support service programs, and reaches more than 100,000 nationally through Positively Aware, our well-respected HIV treatment education magazine. Although the agency’s growth has been tremendous since we first opened our doors, TPAN has maintained its focus on providing peer-to-peer support while expanding and modifying our programs and services to meet the changing needs of our service population.
