CSS is a private not-for-profit social/human services agency that initiates, provides and promotes services for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families, within their communities, in order to strengthen their independence, self-esteem and ability to participate in and contribute to community life.
CSS is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Van Driver. Working under the direction of the Vice President of Community Programs, the Van Driver will transport participants in a safe and efficient manner between locations.
Drive agency van to transport our participants between pickup points to various activities and destinations.
Ensure the safety of all participants under his/her supervision by following the agency policy and procedures.
Assist participants who require assistance on and off the van.
Secure participants who use wheelchairs in with the appropriate fastening method
Communicate with participants and/or families and staff in respectful manner.
Obey all state and local traffic laws.
Notify Supervisor immediately of problems.
Conduct a pre-trip and post trip safety inspection of the van prior to every trip and complete documentation.
Other duties as assigned.
The work schedule is as follows:
Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The successful candidate must have:
1. A High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
2. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, within the last three years,
Candidate will receive Direct Support Professional (DSP), CPR & 1ST Aid training.
