RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM DIRECTOR
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Senior Director of Adult Programs & Clinical Services and in accordance with state agency policies and procedures, the Residential Program Director oversees all residential programs including the proper maintenance of agency residential facilities. The position directly supervises Residential coordinators and house parents. In case of emergencies, the position requires the need to be on call 24/7.
Ensure that programs provide service in accordance with agency guidelines and procedures.
Meet quality requirements as set forth by DHS.
Communicate vacancies in residential homes to Admissions Coordinator and Senior Director of Adult Programs & Clinical Services.
Supervise interagency cooperative efforts in referral and service coordination for residential programs.
Ensure that the rights of residents are protected at all times and that the highest possible qualities of services are being provided.
Ensure staff adheres to program effectiveness and efficiency through the use of the program outcome system; this includes tracking of goals.
Provide the supervision and direction necessary to ensure that local, state, and federal requirements are being met in the construction, rehabilitation, safety and maintenance of residential buildings of the agency.
Directly supervise CILA Supervisors.
Direct day-to-day residential operations.
Assure adequate employees are available as required to run an effective program. This includes, but is not limited to the hiring and termination of Residential Department personnel.
Assures that employees are trained and have adequate resources with which to perform their job responsibilities.
Assist in assuring that staff members are recognized for efforts and accomplishments including implementation of performance-based incentive systems of pay.
Conducts employee and supervisory meetings to provide consistent communication from and to employees and management.
Complete Performance Evaluations for direct reports in a timely manner. Assure that performance reviews are conducted in a timely manner in all residential programs.
Hire/remove individuals for/from employment to provide support and assistance to consumers.
Maintain regular communication with Senior Director of Adult Programs & Clinical Services, Quality Control Director and Director of Residential Development.
Conducts regular staff meetings to inform staff of plans and progress.
Must fulfill all necessary training requirements of the agency.
Utilizes fiscal budget and profit and loss statements to manage resources as allocated.
Maximize utilization of payment sources.
Develop, monitor and manage budget for all residential programs.
Review overtime reports. Adjust staffing patterns to minimize overtime costs to the agency.

EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years’ experience required, with at least three (3) years in a leadership position.
Must possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and proof of personal vehicle insurance.
Must be able to pass criminal background checks and all pre-employment testing.
Previous Experience with Developmental Disabilities (preferred not required)
