The Corporate Engagement & Volunteer Manager is responsible for generating revenue by implementing a comprehensive volunteer program that engages volunteers in the agency’s mission and converts individual and corporate volunteers into donors. As the Corporate Engagement & Volunteer Manager, you will provide events and activities support, including acting as regional contact for the holiday gift drive, coordinating in-kind donations, and maintaining statewide volunteer records. Your innovative contributions will help the agency develop and implement a strategic plan that increases philanthropic support from individual and corporate volunteers. The Corporate Engagement & Volunteer Manager reports to the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations.
Work with other department leaders to develop strategies for increasing philanthropic support from volunteers through event attendance, peer-to-peer campaigns, and general contributions.
Develop and implement strategies to convert corporate groups and episodic volunteers into donors.
Recruit, screen, and onboard agency volunteers.
Create meaningful experiences for potential corporate and individual donors who want a hands-on connection to the agency’s mission.
Work with program staff to orient and train new volunteers, identify new volunteer opportunities, and serve as a resource to regional staff in areas related to volunteerism.
Maintain database of volunteer inquiries and activities; maintain individual volunteer files in accordance with licensing and agency standards.
Serve as contact person for in-kind donations by working with programs to identify need and responding to donors.
Work collaboratively with program staff to ensure that volunteers are effectively oriented and trained.
Assist in the development of the annual development budget.
Take primary responsibility for holiday gift drive, including matching donors with families, arranging the sorting and delivery of gifts, and acting as primary contact for agency staff.
Represent the agency in public speaking engagements and community relations events in the area of volunteerism.
Administer volunteer recognition and stewardship initiatives to increase volunteer retention and encourage philanthropy.
Bachelor’s degree with at least three years related experience OR High School diploma/GED with at least five years related experience.
Previous revenue generating experience required; non-profit industry preferred.
Experience converting volunteers into donors and managing events/activities a plus.
Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including public speaking.
Proven relationship-building skills.
Ability to work with various departments and staff at all levels; a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with consistent follow-through; ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
