Ray Graham Association (RGA) is a national leader in the field of providing flexible, customized services to nearly 2,000 people with disabilities and their families through residential, life skills, employment, recreational, and family support services. The organization was founded through grassroots efforts in the early 1950’s. Position Description Key Responsibilities:
RGA seeks an experienced and dynamic fundraising professional to fill the position of its Chief Development Officer. This position reports to RGA President & CEO, Kim Zoeller.
The successful Chief Development Officer candidate will perform the following:
Cultivate individual, corporate and foundation relationships which lead to major gifts and sponsorships in support of RGA’s mission and core programs/services
Work closely with RGA Board of Directors and its Development/Fundraising Committees, Staff and other key constituents to expand the RGA donor and volunteer base.
Develop and execute a strategic long-term fundraising plan that heightens awareness of the RGA mission, programs, impact and unmet needs while raising incremental funding from a broad base of individuals, corporations, businesses and foundations.
Provide leadership and oversight to the planning, organizing and directing of RGA development programs, initiatives and major special events.
Identify, cultivate and enlist corporate/business and community leaders to actively engage with and support the RGA mission and fundraising programs.
Develop RGA’s annual fundraising strategies and involve Executive, Development and other Staff as well as RGA families’ participation.
Provide leadership to creating a highly effective and professional Development Staff Team and fundraising office environment.
Leverage existing while identifying and enlisting new RGA family relationships and other groups in support of RGA.
A Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university. An advanced degree and CFRE is desirable.
Proven executive and fund development officer with a minimum of (7) years progressive management experience and well documented success in major gift fundraising; financial development; board, staff and volunteer leadership development programs.
Demonstrated ability and proven track record of successfully cultivating relationships and securing major gifts.
Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
Skilled and experienced in leading, empowering, coaching, mentoring and developing highly effective staff and volunteer teams.
Proven track record of recruiting, nurturing and engaging board members, community leaders, professionals and other volunteers.
