Under the direction of the President, the Development Director is responsible for developing and administering a comprehensive development program designed to maximize fundraising with an overall goal to diversify funding. The Development Director will work to strengthen individual giving, focusing on major gifts, while maintaining strong corporate, foundation and annual giving programs and special events. S/he will also work closely with the Board’s Fundraising Committee. The Development Director oversees all aspects of marketing and communications efforts, including the website, newsletters, brochures, media relations and social media.
M.A. preferred. BA required in same or related fields of Journalism, Non-profit Management, Business, Finance, Communications, English.
5 years of job related experience in all aspects of fundraising and communications.
3+ years of experience in supervisory capacity.
Computer proficiency, including database and spreadsheet software, is required.
Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge 7 Donor Database required.
Experience working in a multi-cultural setting.
Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
