The clinical director provides supervision and monitoring of daily activities of assigned clinical team as well as provides oversight of the provision of all clinical services throughout the assigned programs. Based on programmatic needs, the clinical manager will also be expected to provide direct service to clients on a personal caseload. The clinical manager is responsible for supporting agency-wide initiatives to ensure integrative, high-quality care. The clinical manager provides clinical leadership, training, and works to ensure fidelity and compliance with agency contracts and stakeholders, developing and implementing policies and procedures, as well as assisting in the development and implementation of an agency clinical model of care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work as a member of the Foster Care team that working to innovate, improve, support, and ensure quality and excellence across all Foster Care and Intact Family programs at Aunt Martha’s.
Provide clinical and administrative supervision and leadership to assigned clinical teams.
Lead the interviewing, hiring, and training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Manage and oversee the provision of clinical services for assigned programs.
Manage and oversee the provision of clinical Medicaid services for assigned programs.
Ensures that all staff maintains an appropriate level of clinical skills to provide services to changing client populations as well as maintaining the appropriate licensure to do so.
Assist in the monitoring and oversight of clinical documentation and compliance as well as other established protocol and regulations from accrediting bodies.
Oversee timely completion and submission of clinical reports, mental health assessments, screenings, treatment plans, and all other relevant clinical documentation.
Provide clinical direction and support during psychiatric crises (being available 24 hours a day/7 days a week).
Manage and maintain client demographics, outcomes, and census data.
Demonstrate dedication to agency goals and objectives.
Provide leadership on the implementation of the care coordination and integrative care models and provide ongoing monitoring and oversight.
Demonstrate and model strong clinical aptitude and sound clinical judgment.
Demonstrate and apply knowledge of age-appropriate care.
Write and verbally communicates in clear, concise, and professional manner. Utilizes effective listening skills and communicates with supervisees and stakeholders on a consistent basis.
Demonstrate a high quality of work through accuracy and thoroughness, applying feedback to improve performance, looking for ways to improve and promote quality, and monitoring systems to ensure quality.
Provide therapy and counseling, training, consultation, and supervision based on established psycho-theory and/or evidenced-based practices.
Meets with supervisor for administrative and clinical supervision as scheduled.
Attend DCFS staffings, CIPPs, court hearings, and other meetings as needed/requested.
Actively seeks way to improve systems and services as well as participate in performance improvement activities.
Complete all Core Curriculum training(s) as required for this position.
Engage in continuing education trainings for professional growth and development.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or other related field.
Clinical license for independent practice in the state of Illinois (e.g., LCP, LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.).
At least five years of clinical direct service experience.
Cultural competence and sensitivity in working with diverse populations with a comprehensive understanding of culture that includes: race and ethnicity, religion, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, etc.
Ability to write well-developed clinical reports, create and design PowerPoint presentations, professional correspondence, and procedural manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to understand and demonstrate Aunt Martha's 5-step Performance Improvement process, utilizing the methodology PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act).
Ability to use the technical skills and apply the knowledge necessary for this position.
Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness while performing the duties of this position.
