The National Runaway Safeline has an immediate opening for a fulltime Digital Media Specialist. The position is responsible to work with the communications team to focus on functionality, usability and strategic development of digital channels, implement NRS’ social media strategy to drive brand recognition, report monthly analytics to analyze the performance of all social media efforts to inform social media strategy, coordinate social media interaction and maintain social media sites through transparency and active community participation (currently Facebook, Twitter, Linked-in, YouTube, and Instagram), develop relationships with key social media ambassadors and bloggers to engage/activate them, update website and regular search engine optimization reinforcement on an ongoing manner, develop video outreach components to connect youth to services and compile/maintain reports on website traffic and conversion rates.
Bachelor degree in information, communication or equivalent required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills for content creation and management (blog writing, videos, etc.). Must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and meet deadlines and possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Must have intermediate knowledge of Windows-based computer systems and experience with social media channels, Google Adwords/analytics, email marketing and WordPress platform. Experience with Word, Power Point, and Excel. Prefer experience in content management system and basic html skills.
