Olive Tree Arts Network is a youth arts organization that uses creative expression to promote cooperation, understanding and peace in our multifaith society.
We bring together groups of people who wouldn’t otherwise meet and through an arts curriculum and facilitated discussion, we encourage them to find their similarities and celebrate their differences.
Olive Tree Arts Network is seeking an Administrative and Program Assistant for a six month contract. Reporting to the executive director, this person will be part of a small but rapidly expanding organization.
Provide administrative support to the executive director including expense report management, calendaring, school coordination, materials inventory and tracking and reporting.
Organize logistics for school sessions including supplies, communication, coordination and scheduling.
Help manage year end wrap up projects, including surveys, quilts and feedback.
Prepare materials for board meetings and school sessions.
Maintain online filing systems.
Research organizations for future programs.
Liaise with consultants and teaching artists.
Manage logistics for trainings.
Attend curriculum development meetings, complete follow ups.
Support preparation for ED’s meetings with key stakeholders.
Assists with special projects and other general office tasks as needed
Provide input on and help manage systems for program administration.
Provide support and manage aspects of the outreach, application, and selection process for program applicants.
Maintain Facebook and Instagram accounts.
This is a part-time position in Chicago that will last for six months. There is the possibility of a permanent assignment.
This person will meet with the ED once per week in person at the coworking space, 641 W. Lake St., or another location mutually agreed upon. Other work will take place remotely.
Compensation is $15 per hour for 15 hours per week.

Skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
1-2 years administrative experience in a nonprofit or entrepreneurial setting
Proficient in Google suite and MS Office
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Working knowledge of the Abrahamic faiths – Christianity, Judaism, Islam and Baha’i
Experience managing and coordinating multiple projects
Experience working remotely
Credibility and integrity
Positive attitude, high degree of professionalism, diplomacy and tact
Excellent problem-solving skills
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects, and to work both within teams and independently
High standards of excellence, including extraordinary organizational skills and attention to detail

Additional Salary Information: $15 per hour for 15 hours per week, six-month contract with possiblity for permanent position.
