Outpatient Therapist (Clinician) will be responsible for providing therapeutic services that address domestic violence, acute mental illness, child welfare and educational advocacy. Including multigenerational trauma, substance abuse mental health issues, parenting issues, delinquency or other severe behavioral issues. Program provides individual and family therapy as well as assessment and treatment planning.
Monday - Friday from 9AM to 5PM but there must be flexibility in hours
Provide high quality, compassionate and ethical outpatient mental health therapy to children/families as scheduled.
Complete all case related documentation daily, meeting the required deadline
Travel to each client’s site and provide services to them at their designated site. The sites will include children/families residential homes and schools.
Complete clinical documentation within the according timeframe.
Maintain required billable hours and maintain 75% of activities billable
Actively participate as a positive member of OHU environment.
Maintain track record of work related hours
Maintain good standing with the appropriate board.
Stay current with updated research and best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned
Will need to function as part of a team with other clinician as well as with community partners such as DCFS and private agencies
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of family systems and their impact on mental health within the family
Skill in applying varied interventions with individuals/families in crisis
Acute awareness of working within cross cultural and multicultural contexts
Skill in working independently and implementing time management strategies
Ability to provide necessary self-care
Ability to demonstrate positive team interactions with colleagues
Masters in Human Services- Discipline (MSW, MA, MS)
Must be able to successfully pass a required Motors Vehicle Report- MVR
Must own their own means of reliable insured/transportation
Strong Verbiage skilled
This role requires you to work some evenings and/or weekends
