As the Assistant Site Manager, you will provide supervision and coaching to teachers in the development and implementation of early childhood education best practices while promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation. The Assistant Site Manager reports to the Site Manager.
Provide coaching and support to teaching staff focused on identifying strategies to support high quality teaching and learning practices.
Model classroom teaching techniques, covering classrooms as needed when assigned teachers are unavailable.
Participate in regular classroom observations, using observation tools as appropriate, and provide support, instruction, and feedback to classroom teaching staff.
Monitor equipment and materials to ensure performance and safety standards are met.
Plan and conduct in-service trainings relating to child development and early childhood education, to improve teaching skills and increase knowledge of child growth and development.
Monitor planning and implementation of daily classroom routines and review lesson plans and individual education records regularly.
Hire, train, and provide ongoing supervision of assigned staff, including teachers, kitchen staff, and maintenance staff, with a focus on reflective supervision and coaching.
Oversee maintenance of the building and grounds.
Monitor programing to ensure funding, licensing, and Best Practice quality standards are being met.
Participate in the development and management of the Center budget and finances.
Represent the program and agency to parents and the community.
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent field required.
Two years of supervisory experience required.
Two years of ECE teaching experience required.
Experience with Teaching Strategies GOLD and Creative Curriculum preferred.
Must have excellent interpersonal, management and communication skills.
