The Jubilee Furniture Company is a large used furniture resale outlet that generates income after expenses to support the ministries of OCM, Inc. It also serves as the platform for an employment training program for young adults, providing paid work experience for participants over a three-month period.
The Training Coordinator & Assistant Store Manager participates as a member of the management team at Jubilee Furniture Company and reports to the General Managers/ Director of Operations. Responsibilities include:
Management and implementation of the onsite training program at Jubilee Furniture for up to 8 employment program participants. Includes orientation and on the job training plus collaboration with the employment training program staff.
Sales Floor management during schedule shifts including the supervision of volunteers and employment training participants.
Customer service and cashier station management to ensure consistent excellence in customer service.
Previous leadership experience with youth/ young adults as a youth worker, teacher, job coach or counselor; demonstrated ability to effectively engage and relate well with youth and adults from culturally diverse backgrounds; previous retail or customer service experience; ability to work in an active, fast-paced environment while providing training and successfully engaging customers; ability to stand and work actively for eight hour shifts and help move furniture around the store (up to 75lbs.). Previous experience driving a 14’-24’ box truck a plus. A commitment to Outreach Community Ministries’ Statement of Faith is required.
Full-time at 40-45 hours per week.
Weekly shifts rotate between M-F and T-Sa. Hours range between 8:30am and 8:30pm. Every other Saturday required. 1 Th or Fri evening required each week.
Additional on-call responsibilities required to provide back-up coverage.
Annual salary between $35,000-$47,500 based on experience and skills.
