LARC is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic leader to provide administrative oversight of assigned CILA/residential/group home programs for individuals who are intellectually/developmentally disabled. Successful candidates will provide visionary leadership, overall quality assurance and clinical expertise to achieve the vision and goals for the agency in order to maximize the programs’ person centered on the individuals served. The Residential Director is responsible for the overall operation of assigned CILA homes and associated support services associated with the homes. Additional responsibilities include supervision and guidance to the Qualified Service Professionals (QIDP’s), the Residential Supervisors, and the Residential Living Assistants. The director will establish and coordinate a program that provides opportunities and experiences in the community for those it serves. The Director will insure that these services, as directed by the mission and vision statements, will encourage and facilitate a variety of community involvement for individuals served and assist them in achieving personal goals related to where and how they live. The Residential Director will provide opportunities for individuals to learn and experience their rights as well as the rights of others, and the responsibilities that are associated with those rights.
Qualifications and experiences
Experience working with ID/DD population
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred. QIDP certified or the ability to gain QIDP certification within a negotiated timeframe
Two years of experience in a leadership position
Experience in a congregate care setting preferred
Demonstrated ability to organize, direct, plan and coordinate operations within a clinical setting
Leadership skills, including mediation, problem solving, decision making, delegation
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders, staff, community groups and individuals, and other related agencies.
Effectively manage competing demands in high energy environments
