Aspire Kids is seeking a full-time Pediatric Physical Therapy Team Leader. This is an excellent opportunity to supervise and mentor an exceptional physical therapy team in a family-centered model. The Physical Therapy Team Leader works collaboratively with Team Leaders from other disciplines and the Associate Director of Pediatric Therapies to support program expansion and development. The Physical Therapy Team Leader maintains a caseload of infants, toddlers, and children across home, community, and clinic settings.
Supervise and mentor physical therapists in regards to conducting evaluations, assessing children’s motor performance, developing treatment plans, and executing intervention strategies.
Supervise and mentor physical therapists in regards to developing and maintaining relationships with families and communicating with outside therapy providers and physicians to provide holistic care for children.
Conduct annual Talent Development Reviews for physical therapy team members and participate in the interviewing and hiring process for open positions.
Coordinate and lead physical therapy team meetings.
Provide guidance regarding caseloads and scheduling, anticipating openings, and meeting current billing requirements.
Conduct evaluations/assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy for children, as assigned.
Write comprehensive evaluation/assessment reports, progress summaries, and daily progress notes for children, as assigned.
Complete billing and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Integrate parents, family members, and key caregivers into all aspects of the provision of services.
Provide parent/caregiver education for optimal follow through on therapeutic activities.
Maintain communication with team members, parents, caregivers, physicians, outside agencies, and others regarding program/treatment changes, children’s needs and progress.
Provide in-service trainings for parents, caregivers, and staff regarding current research and trends in physical therapy, as requested or desired.
Assist staff with outreach development and community education projects, as requested.
Work cooperatively with Child and Family Connections offices.
Ensure that authorizations for services are received and accurate prior to the initiation of services.
Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
MS or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Illinois.
At least three years of clinical experience.
Previous supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
