Case Management/Social Services, Program Management
Responsible for overseeing the overall and daily operations of the Employment Program which serves low-income to extremely low- income Veterans and non-Veterans and for the on-going case management of 10-15 cases;
Conducts self-sufficiency and employment assessments with clients in the program to determine their interest and willingness to increase personal and financial independence and matches participants with prospective employers and assists them with obtaining or maintaining employment by developing an individualized service plan;
Provides clients with various trainings, including but not limited to: job training, job readiness, and resume writing;
Responsible for coaching, supervising, training, and professional development of employment staff and for assigning work to staff and ensuring the work is performed in an efficient, prompt, professional and accurate manner and provides guidance, when necessary;
Works collaboratively with other staff, departments, and/or community partner agencies in order to obtain resources for clients;
Assists the supervisory chain with the grant application process;
Handles all client and employee complaints as well as crisis situations in consultation with his/her supervisory chain and in compliance with Agency/Programmatic policies and procedures and treats each case with sensitivity and expedience;
Responsible for maintaining and building positive relationships with community and employer partners to obtain resources for clients;
Knows and complies with the laws and regulations relevant to the position and services;
Position requires a flexible schedule in order to attend job fairs, community events, committee meetings and special events, as needed.
Preferred Requirements: Master’s Degree in related field. Five to seven years of related experience and five plus years of supervisory experience.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s Degree related field. Three to five years of related experience and three plus years of supervisory experience.
Other Requirements: Position requires a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance.
