Summary of Position: Under the immediate supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Office Manager/Human Resources Assistant is responsible for clerical duties and hospitality in response to the needs of the office and HR Department.
Position Type: This position is non-exempt and reports to the Human Resources Manager.

Answers and directs incoming calls
Greets all visitors/clients/employees courteously and respectfully
Provides clerical and operational support for the HR Department and general office, e.g. personnel file maintenance, spreadsheets, database, reports, assist with recruiting support, new hire orientation, onboarding, HR projects and training assistance
Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information
Responds to inquiries and makes contacts for the purposes of relaying or obtaining information
Process incoming and outgoing mail
Coordinates and schedules meetings and events as necessary
Maintains the office condition, orders equipment/supplies as necessary
Creates and distributes correspondence
Upholds the mission and values of VOA of IL at all times
Work Environment: Generally, this position operates in a professional office environment. The hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Education and Experience:
This position requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and three years of office administration and human resource-related experience.
