The Advancement Services Manager will serve as a key member of High Jump’s Advancement team and be responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of the donor database through data management, analysis, and reporting. This position provides the opportunity to join a small but highly effective team of fundraisers closely connected to the mission of the organization and the individuals and organizations who support it.
This person will be the Raisers Edge "power user" and High Jump's in-house expert with a special emphasis on extracting data and maintaining constituent records in order to improve fundraising results. He/She will be responsible for updating constituent records on an ongoing basis to ensure accurate information. He/ She will learn best practices for using the system and periodically update team members on new procedures to efficiently and accurately accomplish tasks in the donor database to support High Jump’s fundraising goals.
DATA MANAGEMENT AND LIST DEVELOPMENT
Serves as the lead ensuring accurate data collection and data integrity through regular data checks and reviews of donor records and fields including the identification, removal, resolution and integration of conflicting or duplicate records
Maintains all demographic and personal data
Coordinates monthly reconciliation with the Finance Department
Works collaboratively with Advancement Team to create segmented lists of donors for cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
REPORTING AND ANALYSIS
Creates targeted mailing lists for direct mail appeals and event invitations in a timely manner
Works collaboratively with Advancement Team to develop reports and queries to help gauge and improve fundraising campaigns
Generates weekly and monthly donor reports as requested by the Executive Director, Director of Advancement and Assistant Advancement Director
Provides data support for grant applications and reports
Works proactively and directly with the Advancement Team and Executive Director to capture, maintain and extract detailed reports and data in a timely manner regarding donors, events and volunteer participation
Serves as the lead on processing all incoming gifts and implements the gift acknowledgement process in a timely basis with the highest level of accuracy
Designs, manages and processes all contributions received through online applications including Diamond Mind/Campus Pay and Gesture
Assists in fielding calls regarding gift inquiry or in confirming gift designations
Take part in the occasional fundraising and cultivation events as well as volunteer events
2-3 years of experience of gift processing and/or database management, in a non-profit environment. A strong proficiency and demonstrated progressive use of Raiser’s Edge donor database software, as well as a strong proficiency using Microsoft Excel.
Ability to enter gifts using batch processing
Competent in a variety of technological skills
Experience in processing multiple channels of charitable donations including; stock, wire transfer, checks, online gifts, third party event giving technology.
Outstanding written and personal communication skills, with great attention to detail
Energetic team player who encompasses a friendly, helpful demeanor
Must be organized and an excellent multi-tasker
