The Head Start Program at Hephzibah Children's Association is accepting applications for a Family Support Specialist who will be responsible for the overall case management of services for families related to health, nutrition, disability, and other social services for children and families in the program.
Recruitment and enrollment of families into the program
Coordination of placement of children in program
Maintaining enrollment throughout the program year
Establishing relationships with families
Community outreach to service providers
Collaborating with families to access needed services
Completing documentation, record keeping and administrative duties
Bachelor's degree is social services or related field
One year of Head Start experience
Ability to work flexible schedule when needed (evenings, weekends)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently, and ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
Must have a valid IL Driver’s License and proof of insurance
Sensitivity and responsiveness to the cultural differences in the staff and client population.
