The Center for Law and Social Work (CLSW) is seeking a dynamic Program Coordinator to manage its Porchlight Counseling Services (PCS). PCS merged with CLSW as new program in 2017. PCS is an innovative therapy program that partners with area university counseling centers to provide free counseling sessions for college students who are survivors of campus sexual assault. This city-wide program will need successful candidates to have some management as well as clinical experience. He or she needs to be able to work independently with outstanding organizational skills.
The Program Coordinator will oversee the expansion of the program through key contact development, strategic outreach activities, leadership, program development, fundraising assistance, coordination and outreach. Activities will include the planning, organizing, leading, and controlling program activities. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Associate Director to achieve this strategic, measurable growth.
Partner and cultivate relationships with local colleges and universities
Create and host workshops on the benefits of therapy for sexual assault survivors with local students, staff, and faculty
Conduct outreach activities to raise awareness of sexual assault on college campuses
Help develop publicity materials, online content, and maintain public relations for the PCS program
Help to maintain website and all social media platforms for the PCS program
Keep current on new practices, developments in the sexual assault survivor and higher education counseling field
Dynamic, outgoing character, and a self-starter
Work experience in sexual assault survivor services
Background in non-profit program management, community education, and/or outreach services
Computer and social media skills
Masters Degree or relevant experience in social services
Experience in social services, psychology, higher education, or related field
At least two years of work experience in social services or sexual assault survivor services
Computer and social media skills is a must
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
