The National Runaway Safeline (NRS) has an immediate full-time opening for a crisis services supervisor position. The crisis services supervisor position provides solution focused crisis intervention, information and referral and other related services for runaway and at-risk youth and their families via the crisis hotline and across digital platforms (chat, email and forum). The crisis services supervisor will supervise and support volunteers who deliver NRS’ services. We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-directed professional that enjoys working with a diverse group of people and is sensitive and responsive to cultural differences. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field and a minimum of one year crisis intervention or applicable work experience and/or internship or work study placement in a social service environment.
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who is able to conduct multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Strong communications skills both written and verbal. Must be able to demonstrate empathy, self-regulation, and good social skills and be able to abide by the tenants of NRS’ philosophy (confidential, nonjudgmental, nondirective, non-sectarian, honest and empowering). Must be adaptable, good at problem solving and able to work as a team player. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and navigating various software platforms. Spanish speaking candidates preferred. Salary: low 30’s.
