Children’s Home & Aid knows that the right early childhood care can set kids on a path towards success. We are proud to be part of a new statewide initiative, partnering with the Illinois Department of Human Services to provide local child care providers with focused support, individualized training, and technical assistance to ensure Southern Illinois children get the best start possible. We are seeking a leader who has expertise in effective child care systems and knowledge of general child development to oversee a team of license-exempt child care monitors in seven Southern Illinois counties.
Coordinator responsibilities include:
Provide direct supervision and coaching to a team of seven license-exempt child care monitors.
Oversee program activities and documentation of monitoring visits to ensure services are being implemented effectively.
Maintain program activity data and generate reports, as required.
Rely on subject matter expertise and knowledge of emerging trends to make recommendations for improved program efficiency.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with the community to enhance the quality of care provided in license-exempt settings.
Complete in-home license-exempt monitoring visits, as needed.
Represent Children’s Home & Aid at community and provider meetings.
Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Two years relevant experience in the Early Childhood Education field required.
Two years supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, required.
Demonstrated skills in effective collaboration and creative problem-solving.
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
