Manage Feed My Starving Children (FMSC)’s MobilePack™ operations in assigned regions: oversee multi-state food packing event operations, supervise and schedule department personnel, and uphold safety and quality guidelines.
Pay, Schedule & Benefits:
This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position. Approximately 65% of the time the work schedule is M – F during daytime business hours. Approximately 35% of the time expenses-paid domestic and infrequent international travel is required. Travel includes weekday, evening and weekend hours (approximately 1-3 trips/month with 1-2 trips/year being internationally).

What You’ll Do:
Hire, train, supervise, evaluate and manage performance of MobilePack™ event planners and personnel who supervise and execute the packing events across the U.S. Coach and develop individual and team performance. Effectively communicate information to direct reports (both local and remote personnel) and facilitate meetings.
Determine regional MobilePack™ staffing plan in accordance with event schedule demands. Schedule personnel, identify recruitment needs and troubleshoot coverage gaps.
Manage regional mobile manufacturing activities: ensure event planning and execution is to FMSC standards; strategize and facilitate planning for complex events; troubleshoot event issues; collaborate with departments to determine feasibility of specific events; develop and implement procedures; manage equipment; control expenses; generate reports; etc.
Oversee implementation and adherence to food safety and quality, personnel safety, systems and corporate policies and procedures. Write communications pieces, design trainings and uphold change management best practices. Conduct audits at MobilePack™ events.
Strategize solutions and improvements to MobilePack™ operations and assist with strategic planning. Collaborate on and lead special projects: evaluate options, recommend solutions, create documentation, and support implementation and training.
Act as an event supervisor as necessary to execute MobilePack™ events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum of bachelor’s degree, 3 years of related work experience and 2 years of supervisory experience required. In lieu of degree, associate’s degree plus equivalent work experience considered.

Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills. Able to be assertive and effectively coordinate and delegate. Must be able to effectively lead in a dynamic environment, positively motivate a team and develop new supervisors.
Able to actively identify, analyze and solve problems in highly variable environments. Must be flexible and adaptable.
Strong interpersonal communication, public speaking, customer service and writing skills.
Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of detail, accuracy and follow-up. Can prioritize, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
High level of professionalism, self-motivation and ability to perform independently with limited direct supervision.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and database systems.
Respect volunteers of all ages, religious beliefs, ethnicities and types (ex. special needs, court-ordered).
Able to maintain energy and stamina with nearly continual standing and walking (when at events).
Able to push, pull, lift 30-50 lbs. repeatedly, bend, twist and use hand tools like scissors (when at events).
Work location is Aurora, IL until early 2019 when our new offices open in Schaumburg. Reports to Director of Mobile Manufacturing.
