This is a full-time clinical position at Thrive Counseling Center. This position is within the agency’s Outpatient-Youth Services Team.
Job Purpose: Improving the ability of clients to cope with stresses of their environment and make healthy choice. This position will provide individual and group therapy.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Improves the ability of clients to make healthier choices by:
Employing the best practice methods of assessment and clinical diagnosis for assigned clients.
Providing individual, family and group therapy based on a complete and up-to-date clinical record.
Assuring that Mental Health Assessments (MHA), Individual Recovery Plans (IRP), progress notes, assessment scales including the Ohio &Columbia Scales and all other required clinical documentation is completed as delineated by the accreditation standards/funding requirements. Capacity to independently manage timelines for required documentation.
Linking clients to other services outside the scope of the Agency and acting as advocate for clients with external service providers as needed.
Building effective working relationships with referral sources, i.e., police department, school, and other social service agencies including Hephzibah Children’s Association.
Promoting access to services by working weeknights and/or Saturdays and offering a minimum of 14 youth sessions/week.
Will see adults as needed.
Master’s Degree in a related mental health field,
LCSW or LCPC is Required for this opening
Treatment skills in the areas of mental health assessment, treatment plan development and individual, family and group counseling with youth and adults.
Demonstrated ability to engage youth and families, past direct clinical experience with youth preferred.
Ability to work with multi-cultural clients.
Past experience with Medicaid Rule 132 preferred
