Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director, this position provides supervision and support to agency therapists and case managers, assists with the development of new programs; maintains staff adherence to productivity standards; performs general administrative functions and may assume the duties of the Clinical Director in absence of incumbent. The Manager supports the Thrive clinical team by ensuring clients and families receive quality clinical services appropriate for their individual/family needs.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Develops and coordinates group programming for the agency in collaboration with other managers and clinicians.
Provides supervision and mentorship for the Youth Services team.
Supervises assigned clinicians to ensure compliance of all clinical documentation as well as supervise support and clinical consultation to support clinician growth.
Interviews, hires and provides supervision to direct reports ensuring they are meeting performance expectations.
Provides clinical supervision and mentorship for therapists seeking clinical licensure (LCSW/LCPC).
Supports the agency by ensuring clinicians are properly managing therapy openings and adhering to the expectations of productivity levels.
Providing oversight of the procedures that ensure effective operation of the agency programs.
Providing clinical supervision and consultation to staff individually and/or in groups.
Evaluating efficacy of the program through program reports, statistical monitoring, and quality improvement reporting.
Ensuring proper and complete documentation of all services provided within the program.
Provides leadership to grow services and billable service activity within applicable programming.
Provides leadership in program planning for client care advocacy services to optimize quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
Participates in center strategic planning related to agency programming.
Provides center representation for community meetings per request of President/Executive Director.
Provides individual, family and group therapy based on complete and up-to-date treatment plans.
Identifies future needs and directs the development of strategies to meet those needs
Develops, prepares and monitors fiscally appropriate budgets that enable the department to meet its goals, objectives and funding requirements.
Position may involved 1-2 evenings each week.
Master’s degree, advanced licensure(s) and five years of successful therapy experience serving youth/families in both individual and group settings
Demonstrated track record of success in increasing levels of management roles, including supervision of clinical staff and oversight of mental health services. A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated supervisory experience post LCSW/LCPC.
Ability to work in collaborative relationship with program staff within and external to Thrive, other supervisors and administration.
Advanced treatment skills in the areas of mental health assessment, treatment plan development, and individual and group counseling.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication and team-building skills are required.
Continuing to pass the Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry, criminal background check, and valid driver’s license.
