The International Development Strategist assists the President in providing planning and direction of international global fundraising and development related activities. This includes major gifts, grant writing, serving as a liaison for multidisciplinary fundraising efforts for existing and emerging corporation and foundation partnerships. The International Development Strategist will assist in the securing of funding to expedite the organization's projects.
Responsible for the International fundraising efforts; ensure follow-through on current strategies and anticipate major tasks and deadlines and ensuring the mission is implemented and achieved.
Provide an annual fund plan and implement strategies that will grow annual revenue
Write grant proposals, letters, and other reports/materials needed for effective cultivation and solicitation of prospects. Secure funding from private, corporate, individual and foundation donors.
Aggressively seeks new corporate/foundation funding sources and maintains relationships with current/past donors.
Work to secure progressive and socially responsible business partners for projects and programs
Work collectively with a team to develop a long-term giving and marketing plan to ensure long-term financial health goals.
Responsible for maintaining close working relationships with the organization's Board and to actively work with Board development to increase private and public sector funding.
Maintain an accurate grants calendar and transmit this information monthly to the President and Board of Directors
Examines ways of packaging and marketing programs to philanthropic supporters.
Manage global membership database – create profiles and track donors and prospects; and, in coordination with staff, issue email announcements as necessary
Responsible for, clear engaging graphic communications for print, and the web to enhance community, partners and donor awareness. This will include, direct mail pieces, branded promotional items (events), website and social media graphics, posters, flyers, newsletters, annual reports, national brochures, e-blasts and other marketing materials as needed. (designs and develop signage and displays).

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree 4 years of experience; progressively increased responsibility in a global setting; Master Degree preferred.
Proven track record with writing grant proposals for major funding
Grant writing experience required
Excellent prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to meet multiple deadlines, required.
Proficient in MS Office software, including MS Word, Excel, Access, Publisher and PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.; Illustrator, Photoshop a plus
Must be a strategic thinker and drive projects forward.
Ability to work independently producing effective results.
Must be positive and energetic
Excellent prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
Ability to perform statistical analysis and implement research methodology.
A detailed-oriented individual with the ability to follow oral and written instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
