The Director of Individual and Corporate Giving is responsible for the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of stakeholders in an effort to meet annual and special campaign revenue goals.
As a member of the development team, the Director of Individual Giving and Corporate Giving must effectively work with a group of volunteers and team members to recruit new donors, retain current donors, and demonstrate a return on investment. The ultimate goal of the position to ensure donors (individual, business and corporate) are raving fans of the Boys & Girls Club!
Great Futures Model
•Be the team leader and carry out all duties that are related to implementing the Benevon Sustainable Fundraising Model for the organization •Hold at least 2 tours monthly resulting in at least 2 new Club Champions monthly •Update the donor database on all interactions with tour guest •Organize all meetings, activities and reports associated with the sustainability model •Motivate, encourage and secure volunteers, team members and board members in the model •Cultivate new donors and ensure a constant pipeline of new people •Work with the special events coordinator to secure the needed attendance at special events, especially in regards to the breakfast solicitation event
Corporate & Business Sponsorship/ Campaign
•Lead the corporate campaign committee in the process of cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation of all corporate and business giving strategies. •Effectively engage committee members and ensure a tracking system for securing business and corporate sponsors •Market the business and corporate sponsorships •Ensure proper materials are developed for corporate and business sponsorships •Ensure corporate and business sponsors are engaged in the mission and understand their return on investment •Make solicitations •Build relationships with corporate and business stakeholders •Seek new opportunities for businesses, securing the new donors needed to meet annual revenue goals •Track and report on corporate giving at meetings, always knowing what the goal is, what has been collected and the strategies for closing the gaps by year end.
2 years preferred in non profit, preferred work in development or sales
