Manage and oversee a Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) site. Oversee food packing, warehousing and retail operations. Manage all personnel directly and indirectly, and enable them to provide an exceptional volunteer experience. Achieve site tactical, administrative, fundraising, volunteer labor, production and strategic goals. Ensure food safety and quality, personnel safety and lease agreement compliance.
Pay, Schedule & Benefits:
This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position with M-F business hours, and some evening/weekend hours required.

Oversee, manage and delegate tasks to personnel carrying out tactical operations in warehousing, food production, retail sales, fundraising, volunteer recruitment, cleaning, site administration, staff appreciation, etc. Troubleshoot with, advise, enable and coach staff in leading assigned functions.
Hire, train, schedule, supervise and manage performance of site personnel. Effectively communicate information across shifts and coach and develop overall team performance. Facilitate meetings.
Strategize solutions and improvements at the site and department levels. Collaborate on and lead special projects.
Liaise with interdepartmental contacts. Collaborate closely with other sites and HQ teams including logistics, supply chain, development, accounting, HR, IT, etc. on large-scale projects and initiatives.
Respond to daily and seasonal changes and challenges in production, volunteer recruitment, staffing, compliance, etc. Troubleshoot, create solutions and communicate and delegate action plans.
Oversee implementation and adherence to food safety and quality, personnel safety, systems and corporate policies and procedures. Write communications pieces, design trainings and uphold change management best practices.
Direct facility and grounds maintenance. Arrange for building maintenance, maintain vendor and landlord relationships, adhere to lease agreements, get bids and maintain OSHA and FDA compliance.
Oversee site administration, including ordering supplies, completing bank deposits, etc.
Manage site budget, and complete required production, safety and inventory reports. Utilize database systems.
Occasionally perform volunteer program facilitation, warehouse, general labor and cleaning duties during the holiday season, high volume production periods or low staffing periods (less than 5%).

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, 5 years of related work experience and 2 years of supervisory experience required. In lieu of degree, associate’s degree plus equivalent experience considered.

Able to push, pull, lift 30-50 lbs. repeatedly, bend, twist and use hand tools like scissors (less than 5%).
Able to tolerate consistent exposure to soy, (an allergen).

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian nonprofit dedicated to providing nutritious meals to children worldwide. FMSC meals are hand-packed by volunteers and sent to an incredible network of partner organizations who distribute them to those in need. Nearly 1.2 million volunteers packed more than 333 million FMSC meals in 2017. More than 90 percent of total donations go directly to feed kids.
