Performs basic screening procedures for primary care clinic as assigned. The Patient Care Associate also performs other tasks as assigned to assist in the well functioning of on and off site clinics.
EducationRequires high school diploma or G.E.D. Provides proof of certification from approved Certified Nurse Assistant program.
Knowledge/SkillsAbility to perform tasks involving physical activity which includes heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing. Bilingual in English/Spanish required. Ability to type and basic computer skills. Competencies desired include finger sticks, use of a glucometer and hemocue, urine dipstick testing, ability to use a manual blood pressure cuff and a manual scale. Phlebotomy certification a plus.
Type/Years Experience Minimum 1 year CNA experience preferred.
