Christopher House is looking for one full time (2pm - 10pm) and 3 part time (5pm - 10pm) maintenance staff. The ideal candidates for these positions are detail oriented and flexible. Maintenance staff are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, classrooms, and public areas of our school. Responsibilities: Perform all manner of janitorial, maintenance and custodial duties needed to maintain the cleanliness of the facility. Maintain floor care daily. Perform general housekeeping tasks on a scheduled or as needed basis. Dispose of trash and garbage daily and with regard for health concerns. Operate janitorial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, polishers, rug shampooers and lawn mowers safely. May be required to assist in accepting delivery to the building of food supplies, office supplies and/or office furniture.
Qualifications: Ability to follow accurately written and verbal instructions. Must have knowledge of using tools and supplies correctly in performing janitorial work. Able to lift heavy boxes and/or equipment (at minimum 50lbs) and ability to climb several stairs several times a day. Preference for six months to a year of experience, but not having experience is not a disqualifier for the position.
