The Education Coordinator is responsible for organizing back-end operations for Illinois Restaurant Association (IRA) Food Service Sanitation Certification classes and instructors. The Education Coordinator ensures that all required forms are accurately put in place to ensure successful delivery of all certificates to attendees of IRA classes. This position interacts closely with customers to provide assistance and excellent service, representing the Association in a professional and courteous manner at all times. Maintains communication at all times with the Director of Education to promote course participation in order to achieve budgeted income targets, and to further the goals of the Association.
General Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on excellent customer service
Ability to manage time efficiently, multi-task and work independently with attention to detail
Ability to effectively problem solve and positively collaborate with others in a team setting
General knowledge of hospitality industry and the Association’s role as primary advocate
