The Instructor will implement and utilize tools to assess student skill levels, deliver training and conduct testing to ensure training is effectively increasing the academic level of the student in the Adult Education program. In addition, she/he collaborates with personnel to assess client training needs and assists with curriculum development and the identification of supplemental training resources. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
Administers the TABE test, gathering the results and working with support staff to document them in the student files.
Conduct diagnostic assessments per the STAR/EBRI standards.
Assess results of the diagnostic assessments
Assist with the implementation of the daily program under the direction of the program manager.
Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, and preparing needed materials and supplies.
Maintain confidentiality about the students
Ability to operate audio/visual aids (projectors, etc.).
Deliver computer instruction classes to participants in local classroom settings.
Work with staff to identify and develop resources to supplement and support assessment processes and training curricula/programs.
Assist in the development of training workshops, curriculum and programs to address the needs of Able customers to benefit their work experiences
Establish training schedules based upon anticipated customer needs
Handle (or arrange for the handling of) all logistics for training sessions including: reserving room(s), arranging with support staff for room set-up/break-down with adequate office and audio/visual supplies/equipment, printing and collating materials necessary for classes.
Obtain feedback on quality and effectiveness of assessment and training and conduct program evaluation
Interact effectively with other program personnel to ensure timely communication of information, sharing of resources and coordination of programs, activities, events and services
Compile data and produce regular management reports on a weekly basis, or as requested
Enter client data in DAISI client management system and Excel spreadsheets.

Strong service-orientation and interpersonal skills to develop rapport and work successfully with a diverse population of clients, co-workers, potential employers, and other external agencies.
Problem solving around multi-level academic instruction and curriculum
Bachelor's degree in a related field, from an accredited University or College.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the adult education field, preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Travel to various training locations may be required
