St. Leonard's Ministries mission is to empower formerly incarcerated men and women to lead whole and productive lives. St. Leonard's operates five key programs: St. Leonard's House (men's interim housing), Grace House (women's interim housing), St. Andrew's Court (men's permanent supportive housing), Harvest Commons (men and women's permanent supportive housing) and the Barlow Center (education and workforce development services).
The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for fostering positive volunteer-centered service experience by connecting volunteers to meaningful, well-organized service opportunities. This professional will serve as a key communicator between the community of volunteers and the agency, balancing the needs of volunteers and St. Leonard's Ministries through service. The Community Engagement Manager reports to the Development Director and works closely with the Individual Giving Manager, Chief Program Director and Program Directors.
Create a service-oriented agency atmosphere focused on providing meaningful and engaging volunteer and educational opportunities to external constituents.
Respond to volunteer service inquires from individual and group volunteers.
Organize service opportunities for groups and individuals, including one-time and recurring service projects for groups and individual volunteers.
Work with program staff to define service projects and ensure the volunteer experience is well organized.
Maintain positive communications with program partners who supply volunteers to St. Leonard's.
Participate in volunteer recruitment events across the city.
Conduct outreach to cultural destinations across the city to secure in-kind gifts of tickets/free admission for program participants. Maintain positive relationships with such partners.
Coordinate program participant events to cultural destinations in collaboration with the Chief Program Director and Program Directors.
Coordinate annual volunteer appreciation event.
Track volunteer hours using Volgistics volunteer management database.
Manage regular data transfer from Volgistics to Little Green Light database.
Develop and manage in-kind goods inventory system for each program site.
Work with churches and community groups to organize in-kind goods drive for the agency.
Assist with the development and on-going management of Auxiliary Board.
Collaborate with the Development Director and Individual Giving Manager on event planning, individual and corporate donor stewardship.
Must have a Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in a nonprofit setting.
Serve as a professional, warm and articulate representative of St. Leonard's.
Energetic, warm and welcoming to all volunteer groups.
Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
Strong attention to details.
Prepared to work in a small-shop, collaborative environment as a team-player.
Experience working with a CRM database.
Some evening and weekend hours required.
