Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm , some evenings and weekends
Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Prevention Specialist provides primary prevention services to youth, parents, guardians and formal and informal community leaders. The Prevention Specialist provides youth with skills, opportunities and recognition.
Excellent communication skills and knowledge of youth development is essential.
Bachelor degree in a related field required, 2 years experience working with youth in a community or school setting, training in curriculum development and substance abuse. Master's degree preferred. Excellent communication skills and knowledge of youth development is essential. Experience working with youth and families preferred. Valid driver's license and ownership of or ready access to an insured vehicle, as well as a clear driving record is required.
